My level = the bottom. Like way way bottom.
Here, people play drunk just to pass the time, people are just starting out, and people are learning–therefore, they are trying new things and failing miserably. Nothing wrong with any of that.
Meanwhile, this being online chess, there are trolls. They think that if I lose my queen, I should immediately resign without making the most of the opportunity and playing to the death. But why would I not play to death? Why would I miss the opportunity to try and play without a queen? What if I do improve to a higher rating, and I belatedly hang my queen for the first time, and then immediately think I lost? Wouldn’t that be the ultimate loser mentality?
Anyway, fortunately, there are also people who are very clearly wanting to have deeper fun. They are at the “same level” as the trolls, ratings-wise, but only because the bottom is where everyone starts when they get a new account.
