đź«– Waiting it out, without checking the clock.

This is what I’m wondering I should do. Like, for real. In general, everything is already moving in the direction that I desire. It would be nice if things were moving in that direction faster, and in fact, I can experience that by not checking so much so often.

A watched pot never boils. It’s the thought of “it’s not boiling, it’s not boiling” that makes it feel like an eternity.

So, actually, no, this isn’t what I’m “wondering” I should do. This is in fact what I should do–not watching the pot. It is boiling, I know this for a fact.

Practically speaking, I think I should double down on doing things that aren’t immediately storytelling related. (But in the end, everything is storytelling. It’s impossible to waste anything.) Also I think I don’t have to stress so much about writing at some arbitrary tempo that I decided was the right tempo.

The right tempo is whatever feels right.
