I’m recording podcast episodes about *Techno-Orientalism 2.0* while I’m finishing up the translation. (The podcast is in Korean.) That’s one reason I’m so tired.
I’ve been on podcast hiatus recently, and the hiatus will end in mid-July, but it’s just better to record the episodes now than trying to come back to this project later. It’s always best to write/record when it’s fresh.
Meanwhile, since last year or so, I’ve been doing this thing where I delete back episodes one by one. It’s just… This type of nonfiction (podcasts) get so stale so quickly. It’s different from fiction. You can read a book from the 19th century today and still experience the full fun, but with podcast episodes? 🤷♀️ They become so stale.
And Spotify isn’t like Youtube. *No* platform is as good as Youtube in matching interest with old videos. I think part of the reason I’m deleting back episodes has to do with my disappointment in Spotify and the audiosphere, in general. The amount of bullshit I have to go through when I try to consume audio is way too much. I guess maybe subconsciously, I don’t want to add to the browsing burden of the few people who stumble upon my podcast. They’re better off listening to the most recent episodes than older ones. If they want old things, they’re better off listening to audiobooks of fiction.
